Enkii Boys Secondary School is a county boys’ boarding school located in rural Maasai land, approximately 6 kilometers from Kimana Market in Loitoktok Sub-County, Kajiado County. Established as a center of excellence, the school has consistently demonstrated strong performance in both academics and co-curricular activities.
Serving students from surrounding communities, Enkii Boys plays a critical role in expanding access to quality secondary education in a rural setting. While the school has built a reputation for discipline and academic achievement, it faces a significant shortage of digital devices needed to fully integrate ICT skills into teaching and learning, skills that are essential for the 21st-century learner.
Angaza Center Partnership
Through its partnership with the Angaza Center, JRS East Africa is bringing essential digital literacy to Kakuma’s young girls and boys. This collaboration provides access to devices, teacher training, STEM mentorship (with a focus on empowering girls), and technology integration into classroom learning. By introducing ICT tools and fostering problem-solving skills, the program aims to prepare refugee students for a future where digital skills are essential to education, livelihoods, and community leadership. Together, JRS and Angaza Center are proving that even in remote refugee settings, technology can open doors to opportunity, equity, and hope.
